Stress Management: Your thoughts matter most

This article discusses the link between stress management and the thoughts we think. This link is a crucial key in taking control of our lives and the sponsorship of positive emotions in our lives. Often, we think that the situations and events to create our stress, but if we want to be better management of stress we need to dig a little more we begin to realize we have a greater role to play perhaps we realize.

Stress management is a highly subjective, and this can be a source stress a person may not seem stressful to another. What is important is that most of the stress we feel, regardless of what causes, is harmful.

If we can master stress management we not only live happier, healthier and happier lives, we will also be able to perform our work more carefully, the stage closest to our highest potential.

So what makes us feel stressed and what is the key to managing stress?

Many believe that the events of our lives are responsible for our feelings Stress and our circumstances determine how we feel.

You're driving down the street and someone speeds past you and cut. You may think to yourself: What an idiot! How dare they lead dangerously? They must be removed from the road!

You can even start to feel angry against that person, or curse relax a finger or two. If I stopped at this point and you wonder why you feel so worked up you could say: This idiot just cut me! Otherwise, how you want me to feel? I almost had an accident!

This is a good example of how situations can determine how you feel. In this example, a reckless driver made you feel angry and stressed. You are allowed to become a victim of the actions of others. So why did you put your feelings on them thank you?

When situations or actions of others stop become the cause of how you feel and when you start to take control of your feelings and emotions?

The answers to these questions lie in your understanding of stress management and how your feelings and emotions occur.

The method most often works like this:

We first experience of an event, situation or circumstance.

We then thought on the event.

We then experience a feeling about it.

Event – Thinking – Emotion

Let's use our driving example to see how it fits into the event – the thought-emotion process in the management Stress:

You're driving and someone cuts you off (event).

You think: This person should be removed from the road (the thought).

You begin to feel anger (Emotion).

Now, consider this:

This is your thoughts on a situation that determines how you feel.

So, how stress is related to your choice of thought?

Stress is a feeling and what causes this feeling is what you think. You have no sense of stress without first having a stressful thought. This link is a vital key in the art of stress management. So next time you're stressed to ensure that you thought.
